Name: Laura Miller
Year started at Creative School: 2012
Sneak peek about me: I graduated from the University of Texas, married Sandy Miller, and moved to Dallas. We have three children (Walt, Shelby, and Brent), and four grandchildren. Besides spending as much time as I can with the grandkids, I enjoy cooking and spending time in my backyard with our black Lab, Tank, and the doves, blue jays, chickadees, cardinals and hummingbirds.
Words to live by: A direct quotation, often attributed to Einstein, runs: “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
Favorite movie: Mary Poppins (the original)
First car: A tractor
Teaching philosophy: “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” -Fred Rogers
