About Mrs. Carolyn Waheed

TThF 3s

Hello, my name is Carolyn and I'm new to The Creative School this year and thrilled to be here teaching the Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 3's. I most recently taught for over ten years at Schreiber Methodist Church/Preschool which closed its doors in May of this year after many years serving the community; I'm so very thankful that I have found a new home at The Creative School where I am able to continue my love and passion - teaching preschoolers!

I'm originally from the United Kingdom, born and raised just outside of London but have lived in Dallas for many years. I am married and have two fabulous children, a Baseball playing son recently graduated from college and a drill team daughter in High School. I hold degrees both from the UK and the USA in early childhood development/special education and other than a stint in the business world when my first born was very young, I have spent the majority of my adult life working with young children.

I'm looking forward to getting to know each and every one of my new class/families!  In the meantime, several things you can expect to know about my/our class fairly quickly;

We may occasionally be both 'loud and messy' (because learning is both!), :)

We may be many things (we are preschoolers after all) but we will always be kind, and

I promise you nine months of love, laughter and learning.

See you at school!

The Creative School is a non-profit school and a ministry of  Walnut Hill United Methodist Church. Educating children in north Dallas for over 50 years, we offer programs for children from 2 years of age through Prekindergarden 4s. We operate on a 9 month calendar, September – May.

Our morning preschool hours are 9 A.M.  – 12 noon with an optional extended program until 2 pm. We provide a secure and Christian environment that encourages children to learn and grow.

Our preschool curriculum is developmentally appropriate and addresses all areas of early childhood development including: literacy, math, science, art and fine motor. Enrichment classes include Music and Movement, Spanish, and Library. Our older children also attend a weekly chapel service.
