Creative School

Hearts for Loving, Hands for Learning

The Creative School is a non-profit school and a ministry of  Walnut Hill United Methodist Church. Educating children in north Dallas for over 50 years, we offer programs for children from 2 years of age through Kindergarten. We operate on a 9 month calendar, September – May.

Our morning preschool hours are 9 A.M.  – 12 noon with an optional extended program until 2 pm. Kindergarten is from 9 A.M. until 2 P.M..We provide a secure and Christian environment that encourages children to learn and grow.

Our preschool curriculum is developmentally appropriate and addresses all areas of early childhood development including: literacy, math, science, art and fine motor. Enrichment classes include Music and Movement, Spanish, and Library. Our older children also attend a weekly chapel service.

About Ms. Brooke:

My name is Brooke Yeskie.  I am married to Scott and have two amazing sons.  My sons are elementary school aged and keep me very busy.  I have a bachelors degree from Texas State University in Early Childhood Education.  After graduation I worked at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as a Certified Child Life Specialist.  I then moved on to DISD and worked in Project Kids ECI as an Early Intervention Specialist.

In 2006 I had my first child and decided to stay home for the next 6 years raising my sons.  My oldest child began preschool at Creative School in the 3’s in 2009.  Three years later I decided to begin teaching preschool.  I was hired in the fall at 2012 to teach the Two’s class.

This will be my fourth year as a Two’s teacher – and I love it!!!
