The Creative School utilizes a preschool curriculum that is thoughtfully planned, challenging, engaging, developmentally appropriate, and comprehensive. Our curriculum addresses all content areas of early learning including literacy, math, science, social studies, art, music, and both fine and gross motor movement. Classroom teachers create and implement a program that provides children with the foundation and skills needed to support cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical development. Monthly calendars provide families a chance to keep abreast of the focus for each week. An informal assessment in September and Parent–Teacher conference in January provide snapshots of a child’s development.

We offer many classes in addition to the typical preschool curriculum.  Each day is enriched with classes such as Music and Movement, Spanish, Library, and Chapel.  We also offer an extended day program and summer fun camps. Click on the links below for more information.

The Creative School is a non-profit school and a ministry of  Walnut Hill United Methodist Church. Educating children in north Dallas for over 50 years, we offer programs for children from 2 years of age through Prekindergarden 4s. We operate on a 9 month calendar, September – May.

Our morning preschool hours are 9 A.M.  – 12 noon with an optional extended program until 2 pm. We provide a secure and Christian environment that encourages children to learn and grow.

Our preschool curriculum is developmentally appropriate and addresses all areas of early childhood development including: literacy, math, science, art and fine motor. Enrichment classes include Music and Movement, Spanish, and Library. Our older children also attend a weekly chapel service.
